Spoke with Marc today regarding what we might bring to the shindig to help out. Marc is expecting between 20 to 30 people or more(?).
Jeff and I have been asked about what could volunteers bring to the shindig (optional). So, here is a list. What we think will work is if you want to bring something from the list, then REPLY to this post with your name and what you will be bringing. Don't feel limited just because I didn't think of it to put on the list. If you have something special (or a special diet?), then feel free.
Here goes...
Meat = Marc is supplying burgers and hotdogs.
potato salad =
Salad = Jimmac / Marie = Potato salad and some not so soft drinks
paper plates =
Plasticware =
paper towels/napkins =
Soft drinks/plastic cups =
Not-so-soft drinks (brewskies) =
Desert(s) =
Desert(s) =
Desert(s) ;) =
Condements (mustard packets, etc) =
Anything else? =
Again, to volunteer some item, just REPLY to this post and put your name and what your bringing and that way we'll have a running account of who is bringing what. You can duplicate items, but you might want to PM whomever posted an item first and work out the details of what and how much, etc.
Sounds like it is going to be "JACKET WEATHER"! ;) But, if it rains, we'll just move inside the shop as before. (Chances are we'll have a tent or canopy too, but we've weathered rain on these before. So don't let a little weather change your mind.) Party ON!

Best ever turn out for Marc Haibeck's BBQ. Susan Haibeck said she counted 40 people in all - bout double what was hoped for. More than just a local BBQ, there were people from 4 states that made the trip: IA, MO, IN, and IL. (Did I miss anybody in the fray??)
Lots of great food; burgers, dogs, Pete brought his sausage, the deserts were abundant and superb...and LOTz of eye candy!!
Check out Jeff's two-tone powder coat job...

More bling by Jeff - the LED tail lights look really nice.

More Jeff bling... Check out the two-tone seats! (I want to do that myself. Love the black/red constrast.)

Being relatively new to the Brotherhood, it was really nice to meet so many ZR1 owners. The knowledge base is amazing.
Hats off to Mr. Haibeck and his better half for throwing an oustanding event.
PS
See everyone at BG in a few weeks.

Good times, always learn something new there.....found out the ASR on my 92 was only letting the TB open 90%....Thanks to Marc and HarleyBob for the adjustment! Maybe I can improve on that 12.42 at 117.5 now!

I agree!
Thanks to the entire FBI crew for such great hospitality.
I had an absolutely fantastic time and it was awesome to finally meet you guys. :handshak:
We were even able to get the Z out of Chicago without incident this time! :dancing
Thanks again to all of you.

Gotta thank Marc for a great cookout! Never stops amazing me with the wealth of information in this crowd. And the willingness to tweak the cars in the parking lot. Where else can you find about 20 Z's in one place on a single day on a casual get together.
Cant find a better bunch of great people be hanging with....
