Miss him terribly. (he is the one on the right)
Thanks to VetteMed on this forum who has helped with his health and diagnosis in the past.
Hardest part was that he was 100% mentally, just his body was failing him.
He was 11.5 years old so he had a pretty good life. They never seem to live long enough though....
10th Birthday

They are just like addtional children in the family. I love my pups. I read this the other morning on a plaque leaving Key west last week.
"Heaven is the place you go and are greeted by all the dogs you have ever owned". I sure hope so....
Sorry for your loss :(

I lost my best buddy, Jake, just before moving to Canada. I'd hoped to bring him over and spend his last days enjoying all the freedom here but it wasn't to be. He was the best dog anyone could ever have wished for. I didn't own him, I was just fortunate to have shared my life with his. I still miss him terribly.
I didn't want another dog after Jake. Losing him had been just too hard for me. 2 years later though my wife saw an ad for a Husky cross at the local animal shelter and persuaded me to go 'just to look' (I've always loved huskies). By the end of our 30 minute visit Kyla was coming home with us. She's been a challenge in a lot of ways (she came from a reservation so had a very unstructured beginning) but has developed into yet another wonderful dog.
But Jake will always have a special place in my thoughts.
Very sorry to hear of your loss.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Can't imagine how tore up I'd be if I lost my buddy Bosco....
Looks like he was a great companion and had a very happy life.

I am so sorry. They take a piece of our hearts with us when they go, and they seem to go to soon.
I lost my Sandy Pooch last winter - she was getting old and all, but I didn't see her in front of my truck as I was moving it it the driveway and I crushed her hip. I had to put her down that same day. I ache and maybe(?) feel guilty about the circumstances, tho I just flat could not see her over the hood of the 4x4 truck. I miss her so, and I know the hurt you're feeling. YOu have my condolences.
Sandy always wanted to be where ever I was, as I'm sure you can relate...

They are all maltese.
My deepest condolences.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I was mush for awhile when I had to put down my 15 1/2 and 17 year old dogs. I don't want to even imagine losing family with how I felt for my dogs so totally understood. All dogs go to heaven is true.............
