BG Drags May 14th 3pm

We have a time slot for us on Saturday May 14th. From 3-4:30 pm guy's. We will have the track with timer's , crew and an ambulance.

Friday the 13th is all booked up with the Diesel only drags.

I figured Wednesday and Thursday might be difficult on most of us. Friday are the Diesel only drags.That leave's us racing time on Saturday the 14th 3-4:30 pm. An hour and a half should be enough time also to keep the cost down.

I have a request:

I think I am going to end up tracking this so when you pay with PayPal, please indicate payment is for drag racing and if paying for more than one person, list each person's name. Since renewals for membership and drag racing are both $35 it isn't easily noted which is which.

I probably won't check here to see if you are paid. I have 4 right now, Kevin, Pete, Bob G and Tom.

Considering the number of times we get rain in May in BG KY, perhaps the Registry might be better off following suit - moving it to October: Dry and cool. (Just a thought.)

There is no need to be nervous. There will be plenty of help available. We want everyone to have a good and safe time.

I will try to get a group discussion scheduled for Saturday afternoon so that we can talk about drag racing procedures and etiquette.

In any event, just ask one of the Registry guys at the track about staging and running and we will be glad to explain it.

I will leave the actual race performance techniques to the experts. :blahblah:

Once you get familiar with the track "rules", I know you will have fun driving your ZR-1.

I made 24 passes on street tires the first time I went to BG (2008). If you have drag radials, just put them on and drive to BG. That is what I did in 2009. If you have slicks, put one in the back and one on the passenger seat. You can swap them in the pits.

You will need a DOT approve helmet.

Add me to the list. I might have to do it on street skins (GY D3s) again, but we'll do our beest to rep the FBI well.

I ran a 12.6 on that infamous day Dom's "Phoenix" crashed, spite of having to shut down some short of the finish as I hit the limiter (in 3rd). The low oil pressure switch blew out on that same run. Getting into the 11s that day was just not in the cards, I guess!

Well, with the FBI "500" package in place, I plan to have the rev limiter boosted to 7500, as the package is still pulling hard @ 7200 (limiter cutout). A.couple tho more will keep her out of the limiter too w/o shifting into 4th...maybe.

Oh, man! This is going to be fun!
