I was able to get the plenum pulled successfully with everyones input. Thanks!

Now that I have the plenum pulled... I am able to see a lot of gunk in the runners of the plenum and I/H. Is this normal? Here are some pictures:

Cylinders 6 & 8 seem to have a lot of oil being passed in the runners:

Closup of cylinder 8:

Shots of other cylinders:

Should I be worried about any of this? Should I try to clean any of this out?

Thanks!

Aaron

Look inside the intake plenum, use alight to see way in the back. If there is oil puddled on the floor of the plenum, all the way in the rear, near those two cylinders, it is most likely either a failure of the pcv valves or oil blowing by the properly functioning valves. If the pcv valves are functioning properly, you can correct the problem w/the installation of an oil catch can in the line from the valves to the front of the intake plenum.

I had this oil problemw/new properly functioning pcv valves and cured it w/the installation of an oil catch can.

it's normal for there to be some oil accumulation - but it's probably a good idea to check or replace the PCV valves if they're old, I agree with Don.
