Hey Guys,
I have finally gotten around to replacing the leaky O ring on sensor. The only problem is that I can't get the friggen sensor out of the block.
Any thoughts or experiences on just how to do that???
Thanks

Is this the one on the Drivers side under neath the CAM cover between plugs Num 3 and 5? I think that was the crank postion Sensors however. It took a good tug for me to get mine out. If I remember right the end is magnetic which is how it makes its count. This is assuming you remove the shield and retaining bolts

That's the one! I have the 8mm bolt out and the shield is off. I'm just not to sure on what to do here as it really is in there and I don't want to break something on the sensor yanking on it by the wires. I tried using a little leverage by putting back the the bolt back into the senosr and prying on it against the block. The sensor didn't budge. Thoughts?
BTW...it is the Cam sensor...the crank sensor is on the pass side...

Wiggle up and down whilst pulling on the body. Eventually the oil O ring will let go. Remember its been in there 20 years. Ill take you word for it I just know where it it is and what it looks like I could not remember the name ;)
Rotate the bolt tab on the sensor flange around to where you can get under it. Rotate & pull at the same time & it will come out. There will be some oil behind it.

Thanks guys....that is exactly what I needed to do. Replacing the O ring was the easy part. Getting to that little bugger was something else.
