96 CE Coupe Passive Keyless Entry (PKE) Question. I have three programmed remotes (They all work and have Fresh batteries). They do not need to be programmed. The passive system is obviously off as when I push the FOB buttons only the passenger door and hatch will open. Oddly this is correct behaviour when the passive system is turned off as designed by GM. I have no PKE system lights. No error codes. I have disconnected the battery, pulled the fuses. Nada :censored:

What is the secret for turing the passive back on? I have pressed and held the door button on the fob for 2 secs. The locks will cycle but it still stays in non passive mode.
Can somebody help ?

I have also searched posts going back ten years here on the other corvette forum but cant get a simple answer to this question. Thanks GC :dontknow:

when I had my 95 LT1 car, it worked as you describe with the holding button down for 2 or 3 secs, but the one time it stopped arming was when the driver's door switch started sticking.

Maybe it wants to arm, but won't if it thinks it is still open...look for the interior lights staying on much longer than normal. I just worked my switch back and forth with a little silicone lube on the plastic parts. You can adjust it too, I think.

He really doesnt deal with the PKE I asked him some questions about the CCM/BCM and he didnt want to touch it. Frankly I dont blame him seeing how burried deep it is into the car. GC
