I have been wanting to add a few gauges and possibly a shift light (stealth) or maybe on pillar.

I would prefer a custom piece for best appearance however I don't think that is available to us and we have to buy the one that goes over the existing pillar.

The style I want to go with is:

Here are some setups I found interesting: (the bottom one is DDSLT5 - Dwight)

Please post up photos if you have a cool install or can assist.

Also looking for someone who has an extra pillar I can drill up.

Thanks.

I had an idea about the shift light....once.

On a 90 with the original AUAH prom there was a function for the shift light ( upper left perimeter of the tach side of the dash ) and when I put in the AYBK prom the shift light function was deleted.

Sooooo, I was thinking how to get it back. Would it be possible to buy one of those shift light things and use the guts to trigger the dash shift light? I started looking in section 8A and then I felt that this is something I could screw up and burn the harness up so I chickened out. :o

Digging through my stuff today I came across an Autometer dual gauge pillar pod that I bought a few years ago.

I don't have any gauges and thought that I should start looking to add to my projects list.

What other gauges would you guys consider if you were doing dual gauges? I don't feel the need to duplicate anything that I already have on the dash.

My first thougths were air/fuel and fuel pressure as shown, but I really want to get into serious fine tuning and considering Innovate Motorsports meter instead with digital dual reading and dual wideband O2 sensors and that would be mounted elsewhere on the dash.

If not air/fuel, do you think a vacuum gauge is another good choice? This link provides some very good diagnostics with vacuum gauge or does this mostly apply to old school only?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Maybe a raptor shift light in between the pod?

Maybe a raptor shift light in between the pod?

Thanks GC. I already have the harlan shift light in the A/C vents, but that is a nice idea too.
