Like the title says I'm trying to remove the OEM gasket from the throttle body to plenum. It very well maybe the original from 1994. It is almost like it has been glued on plenum. Are there any secrets besides a razor blade to getting this removed?....ie: soaking in solvant or thinners etc ??

Thanks

I've had good luck with 3M's Adhiesive Remover and a razor blade. I got the 3M at an automotive parts store, but Mid America sells it too. comes in handy for a variet of solvent issues, e.g., gaskets, old carpet, etc.

Also, there is this stuff from ACE Hardware called "GOOP". It is NOT to be used on painted surfaces, trust me. But, it might work on your gasket situation and is easy to locate.

Thanks Paul.. I tried some brake cleaner to soften it up then used several new razor blades. Lots of scraping and finally got it off. I'll take your advise and pick up a can of that 3M. That has to easier than what I just did.
Thanks
