My build sheet shows it was "born" late Dec. 22, 1992 and sent off to CPC.
for about 3 years and 19,000 miles. Build is noted "This car was built for a particular purpose or person". The first non GM owner got it from a dealer in Atlanta and tells me the front tires were almost slick and the pass. side rear wheel and tire replaced. He threw away what apparently was the cars log book, but did keep an ECM chip which he says is "signed"....???
Hope he can find it and send to me. Remaining on the car are the CPC sticker: "Remove if reassigned or sold" and a bundle of leads coming from deep in the engine comparment and ending at the firewall. Comments on what "testing" this one might have been involved in ??? ...or is there a GM guy who remembers this white 1993 from their days at Warren ?

The mystery continues. I just spoke with the man who bought the parts, including the chip and logbook, from the first owner. The chip is signed by Tim Holland and the logbook signed by all the test drivers...though what they were testing is still a mystery. Hope to learn more soon. The original clutch and slave cyl. apparently were not stock to production cars....and the chip ???? Still hoping others will read this and have something to add.

very interesting indeed. 170 seems a bit late in the production run for any testing for the 93 model year. Maybe they were doing 94 emissions testing or something like that, though with the non-pro clutch and wheel damage that seems unlikely
