Here is my '94 ZR-1. Just completed the refinishing on the motor. K&N air filter, Corsa exhaust, compter chip and short throw Hurst shifter. Dyno'd at 387.9 RWHP and 382.2 RWTQ. Ran the standing mile at the Mojave Mile last year at 155.5 mph consistanly. Just plain lovin' the ZR-1 experience!

Thanks! Your ZR-1 is a sweet lookin' ride too! Now, if you had a little blue on that motor it would be patriotic! :flag:

Welcome .
I've been around for a while. Mostly on the Corvette Forum. Haven't done much on this forum but plan to spend more time here too. I also have '00 Naussa Blue coupe, 6 sp. with a West Coast Stage III kit on it. About 400 hp at the crank.

Awesome! I was debating whether or not to paint the entire engine when I did my '94 AB last year. I like your look quite a bit.
I wanted to eliminate all traces (both visible and internal) that the engine was once worked on by Doug Rippie (a very long and painful story). Here is how mine turned out (courtesy of Marc Haibeck):

WOW! Yours is Awesome too! Nice shine on the AB plennum. Is that powder coating?
I was hoping when I did mine that it would not be too much blue but have been very happy with the way it turned out.

The valve covers are polished and the intake is powdercoated. Used a lot of stainless and silver to contrast where there was AB and AB to offset the silver polished parts. Also made up a dozen AB oil filters!
My car actually came from Torrance, CA about 2 years ago with a black plenum (the DRM Black Widow look).

Dave -
Hopefully this Spring...not sure yet as to when. Have not had either out yet this year.....bummer. Getting another 6 inches of snow today.....still a lot better to live in the snowy northeast than in Japan right now, so I'm not complaining...

Ricky -
Will do. I'll start a new thread. My intention was not to steal the thunder of the AB engine from GLMajer - I was just excited to see another AB - especially one with a painted engine. AB ZR-1's are pretty hot to me - even the Blue Turtle. I see Dave is planning on speeding up the turtle with a little porting in the near future.....

It is nice when the engine color is the same as the body - Here is a Black Rose example.
