I had my alternator rebuilt and was putting the car back together. I came across a strange 2 wire weather pack connector that I don't know what to do with.
It is on and part of the same wire loom that plugs into the top on the oil sending unit on top of the oil filter housing. it was black wire tied to the side of the sending unit itself as I recall. I can't see where it plugs into anything. It has a grey / black bulbous looking thing that extends down from the weather pack connector itself. I can't see where to plug this weather pack into. Maybe it was never plugged into anything and used for someother purpose??
Thanks for the help

There are three connections:
The pressure sensor is a 3-wire (Correction: ONE wire!) thumb sized and is the one on top, next to the alternator. It is vertically orientated and the connector inserts and is pushed down to seat it.
The temp sensor is likely the one you are talking about, and it is pinky finger size and is located down the front side of the housing, tucked almost out of sight. The receptacle is horizontally oriented, and the connector is pushed, front to rear, parallel with the line of the vehicle.
FYI, the third connector is the low oil pressure (idiot light) switch; a single wire, thumb-sized one that is on the right side and bottom of the oil filter housing, and is difficult to see unless the fender access panel is removed. This connector is about the same size as the oil pressure sensor. However, this plug comes up from below and is pushed upward to seat in it's receptacle My fat fingers - even with the special sensor socket - would not access that one; had to remove the oil filter housing to get to the SOB.

The IAC valve wire at the side of the air horn is two wire that extends from the oil pressure sender next to the oil filter. Or the low oil sending unit below on the passenger side block. Thats my guess

Thanks guys....It is the temp sensor wire connector that I think Marc abononed when he put in relocation kit. I sent him an email to be sure that his kit ties into the ECM somewhere else other than at this connector in question. If not then I'll have to chase his wiring starting at the relocated IAT.

Lee...it was realy good taking to you on the phone. Thanks for the help. Marc did return my email last night and confirmed our suspicions. He rewires his mod directly into the IAT circuit at the back of the ECM. He then wires ties the OEM IAT sesnor to the side of the oil pressure sensor and abandons it.........:handshak:
