Just buttoning up a few loose ends and should be finished this week, thanks for all of the support I received on the forum and some pretty fair deals on parts from a variety of sources.
I was wondering what everyone is using for coolant these days with a lot of formula changes?
thanks:cheers:

Gotta use the old-school green stuff from NAPA or Carquest, not the "universal/fits all colors/extended change/100,000 mile" varieties that most places stock nowadays.

Make sure you follow exactly the protocol for filling and if you get a air pocket then follow the 'burping' process. Marc H has a nice write up>>

I agree with the ''old school'' approach to coolants as it contains the silicates needed as they relate to our head gaskets. The coolant NAPA carries meets the GM requirments for our cars. You might want to read through this thread. http://www.zr1.net/forum/showthread.php?t=13399
