95 side panels?

How much room do you guys think I have behind both front panels? I picked up a extra set and am looking to modify them a bit. My thought was to make the cut out deeper then enlarge the existing gills or eliminate & smooth them out.
Do you I think I have a 1/2-1" to work with?

Hi Rick! I think in the middle section there is easily the 1" maybe even more. On my car the only place the panel is close to anything is at the edges, top & bottom and fore & aft. Where the 90's slits are there is at least a 2" gap till you run up against anything on the car covered by the panels. Seems to me the really tight packaging is on the passenger side. Driver's side is only the battery.

This is to the best of my recollection ofcourse!

On the passenger side, the interference will be the windshield washer fluid bottle. I remember it is a little closer to the gill panel than the battery is. But I think you will still have about an inch or more in the gill area of the panel.

Good luck with your project. We need to get a break in the weather so you can get that car down here to WAZOO land for some major upgrades and bling.
