I got hit in the Z today.

I got hit by a 90lb chick in a new 1 ton king ranch pickup truck. I was in the right lane she was in the left lane. I was going maybe 2 miles and hour faster than her. I was 90% past her and she decided to turn into my lane and all I felt was a bump in the drivers side rear. Luckily the damage is very light. But its gonna have to be fixed. Hey I'll get a new paint job on the rear and bumper which was starting to fade anyway. So this may be a good thing. Nevertheless it still stresses me out. Could have been much worse though.

Sorry to hear, make sure they take the bumper off to spray it and they don't cut corners. Who is her insurance company?

All in all I was lucky. I think that's probably as little damage as a Corvette can have with a Ford King Ranch super duty coming over into your lane.

Back last year, a semi hit a 2007 Grand Sport Coupe like that and flipped him over on I-65 in BWG. Severely injured him. He died that next Monday. Like you said, could have been worse.

Its gonna look better than it did before. I don't know if they will paint the whole car over that but at least the back half will be flawless. So this may be a blessing in disguise.:cheers:

Well that sucks but as others have said at least you weren't hurt and the damage is relatively light. If you want more paint work done you may be able to work with the repairs shop to contract additional "while we're here" work.

I got rear-ended in Vegas a few years ago by some chick who looked like a stripper - didn't do much more than scuff the paint in a couple of spots but maybe I should have milked it for "favors" :mrgreen:

2007 Grand Sport?

That's what Gary Cockriel told me. He was the guy that arranged for the NCM delivery for the car. I was there at the NCM when the accident happened. It might have been a 2009 Grand Sport. I only know that it was a Grand Sport and the guy died. I don't keep track of C-6's.
