I will restore the rear 17x11's and sell the set of four silver GenI's for $2500 so I can put the money towards the GenII's that are for sale here.

These wheels are straight and awesome for a ZR1.

Hopefully I can buy the GenII's from the sale of these GenI's.

Thanks
Brett

Can you post pictures of the front wheels? What type of brake clearance do they have?

Hi roger. Lee Gaffigan will know the brake clearance. He has a set on his 90 ZR1. They do fit though. The wheels are surrently on my 88 ZR1 at the shop. They are super nice and the rears will be painted to match.

They are the same light silver as when new.

If the GenII's sell before I can make a deal on my wheels, mine will no longer be for sale.

Here is a pic of one of the front wheels. The rears will look exactly like this when refinished.

I looked at the pictures of the rear wheels you had posted before, it looks like a lot of damage to one of them. How are you going to repair it?

There is NO damage to any of the wheels. I had sanded along the edge of the rear wheels prior to paint work. That's all. I can paint all four wheels any color you desire.

Are you interested in purchasing them or are you just trying to help my sale?

Some Dymags are coated in a plastic material....its a gold/bronze color, and then they painted them silver, for some reason it comes off in sheets, I sold Brett a wheel that had the same issue...I think its just the paint coming off..its very thick. Nothing wrong with the wheel.

The 17X11s are badass......they are deep and fill up the wheel well.

Both. I am worried these wheels will not clear my ssbc brakes up front. I am trying to get a set of wheels that will not need spacers.

Are you in the process of refinishing the rear wheels or were you waiting till they sold?

Any idea how far out the brakes sit? I can stick a 3/6 drive extension between the wheel and the caliper, with room...will post pics or can take other measurements.

Hi Roger. I am waiting to paint them until I sell them. If I paint the rear wheels to match the front, the buyer will be forced to buy silver wheels.
If I wait, I can give the buyer anything he wants. I can paint all four to the buyer's taste.

Thanks
Brett:cheers:

Lee, that's the area I am concerned about. I will try tomorrow and measure the size of the spacer I am running currently. Even with the spacer it is tight, I didn't have anything to measure it with a minute ago but 3 quaters put together just fit between the calliper and spoke. I know measuring with quarters poeple are thinking WTF is he doing:o it's late and all I had in my pocket. Doesn't mean anything anyway until I measure the spacer. Thanks for your help.
Roger

Did the challenge cars run J55s or Aftermarket?

To my knowledge, J55. I can try to contact Bill Yagey and get a definitive answer.

Brett, did you have an interest in ZR-1s before I met you to drop off the wheels with my 92 with Gen IIs? Just think, I almost drove the Taurus;)

I knew I would catch hell for measuring with quarters!

I will measure the spacer with keys or something else.

Its alittle less than 2" from the face of the rotor to the inside of the wheel spoke....

I think the rotor...outside of wear...is constant....so measured from there.

I always liked them but never knew if I'd ever have one. I loved your car the minute I saw it. Awesome with the GenII's. Once I read the story of the UK crushed cars, I was intrigued to get my hands on one.

Having a true prototype with an EX number just blew me away. Had to have Geoff's car.
