Hi,

Any experience with the causes of the light on the dash board staying on regardless of the belts being fastened or not?

Any suggestions on trouble shooting?

More than likely your Air bag system has a ground fault. Causes the INFL REST light to come on the DIC along with the seatbelt light. Most sellers will remove the bulb to make it look like it works.

Check to see if this light comes on when you start your car. If it doesn't, pull the radio surround off, remove the DIC, and replace the bulb, then start to troubleshoot.
