Whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to a lack of content, the October issue was delayed significantly. I've finished it up this evening. Hope everyone enjoys it.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Dwight has busted his butt for years putting out the HOTB with very little content and input from the membership. We can't expect him to print what he doesn't have.

The latest issue is awesome. Well worth the wait. The Registry is losing a very valuable and dedicated member of the executive with the end of the current editor's service.

Did you send in an article to get published that was ignored? If not, then maybe it is something to send the new editor for the next issue. Lack of contribution results in lack of articles.

Hi n00b,

Feel free to post your name and location, and don't forget to also send an article to the editor of the newsletter with the history of your 368 (if you actually own one) so that everyone can read all about it. Don't forget to send the editor some high res photos of the car, yourself and the whole garage! I can guarantee he will appreciate it!!!

If you have anymore negative comments about my newsletter, feel free to email me directly - we can talk it over and maybe meet up and chat about it. Finally - if you want, you can always run for a position in the executive, and contribute to the club directly - but that will take more than just anonymously running your mouth :blahblah: - you'll have to step up and make a difference! I'm sure your efforts will be appreciated by all the members of the club. :handshak:

Lack of articles? Seemed like three articles, three authors. I would prefer more variety, but since I received nothing from the membership except the two others who posted articles to me, there wasn't much to do but write an article of my own and publish before the end of the year.

I hope the new editor has better luck soliciting content from everyone. Unfortunately, at this point, most of the tech articles have been done to death, and the average owner is typically quite sensitive about writing, even though the editor will correct/edit what it written. Such is the life of the HOTB editor.

I just hope that the membership is supportive of our new editor's efforts in the new year - it is a tough and thankless (sometimes degrading and insulting) job and he needs your collective support.

Thanks Frankie!!!! Always a stand up gentleman from LI - a tribute to our club indeed! I guarantee that Frank's presence on the board of the Club will result in some positive effects for the general membership. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to devote a little time to the club. :handshak::hello:

Geez, tough room! It wasn't the best newsletter ever, but how could it be without having people submit the best articles ever? It seems the Editor has the most visible job and takes the most abuse over their execution of it. I can't ever recall seeing meeting minutes in a newsletter, we have only rarely gotten financial statements. No one seems to care too much. But don't publish a newsletter on time, or full of awesomeness, and people are out for blood.

Anyway, thanks Dwight and Kurt for stepping up and filling in the newsletter with articles (and as always, Marc H). And also Ron, who always has a new "President's Message" for each issue.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
It IS a thankless job, thanks Dwight for your years of HOTB editor :handshak:

I received my hard copy a couple of weeks ago and I have to say it was one of the best I had seen in a while. Who in heck is not interested in racing and is also driving a ZR-1? I thought the Chumpvette article was very well written, documented and a damn great story about folks who share the same interests and took the time to compete in a pretty awesome race. Was it a Zr-1 no, but it was driven by ZR-1 owners. I would love to see the video if it is available. Just my humble opinion. Dwight great job, very damn well done!! :handshak:

Hey Guys - thanks for the kind words regarding the latest issue of HOTB - it really feels good to hear the good reviews for the issue! For those of you who took the time to thank me via PM - you have no idea how much that means to me! Same to those who paid compliments in this thread - it really is a great thing to hear such nice comments from such close friends. The club is and always has been about the people, and you guys have proven it here in this thread!:cheers:

As for the next issue - please give the new editor some slack fellas - I'm sure he is working on it, and it will be a blockbuster - I know he had lots of great ideas, and the first issue is always the most difficult. Lastly - don't be afraid to send in those articles - we all want learn about you, your ride (ZR-1 or not) and where you call home (USA and everywhere else). Tell us your story!!:fahne:
