My driver's side floor mat has a spot worn from my shoe. It's bugging me enough that I want to replace it. But I don't want some logo'd mat, or some mats who's color or pile is nowhere close to a match to the rest of the car.

Anyone bought new floor mats that looked stock? Interior is 73I flame red.

I ordered a set from mid America, without the logo, 91 tan

How did they look compared to your originals and the rest of your carpeting?

Top set new old stock GM
Middle set was from Ecklers in 2005
Lower set was the stock set that came from the factory

None of those sets look to be the same color. Though it's sort of hard to compare them in those pictures, they aren't next to each other and it's kind of small.

I thought you got yours from Mid America?

Sorry My bad, got them from Ecklers,
The photos is showing more of a difference than acutual, The red should be a better match.

Anybody found a mat with the integral heel pad the originals have?

I looked and looked and was not able to find one

91s did not have an integral heel pad and wore out just looking at them. In 1995 the replacements the Chev dealer ordered for me were not the same (thicker) and did not have the velcro anchor at the rear like the originals.

Thanks, Looks like the 90 may have been the last year for the heel pad then.

Mine doesn't have a heel pad either. I'm reasonably certain they are original.

Will someone who is an original owner jump in here please. My 2 91s were bought in 95 and 96, both have black mats which I am pretty sure are original because both cars were really low mileage and the mats had normal wear. No heel pads on either one.

One possible explanation is the factory had more than one supplier ???

My red 1990 OEM set does not have a heel pad. It is a late MY car #2529.

I bought a set at Carlisle a year ago for my 1990 Charcoal car from the ACC vendor. Color match was real good. No heel pad. Had the velcro on the back.

Think I paid about $65.00.

Fwiw, I'm not the O.O. of my 90, but I bought from the O.O. & the car had 7400 on it and my mats are what came with the car. No heal pad & velcro on the rear edges.

Who is that big name company? Lloyds? well I sprung for a set to save my OE mats and they wear out quickly right where your right heal rests. I'm not too happy about that in light of how much cash they cost. JMHO:o

The mats that came with my 90 had the integral pad identical to what Z Proud shows in post #5.

I have now tossed the mats (they were in rough shape) but have the part number somewhere at home - I believe it is a GM part number. Will see if I can dig it up tonight.

May well have been multiple suppliers at the time. My 3 month old mats already have noticable heel marks. I see you can buy "bolt on" aluminum heel protectors - may look at that.
