We eliminated the OEM bolt required torque + torque/angle process by going to a higher strength material, over the OEM bolts. Torque will be in the range of 90 ft-lbs with Loctite 262. ARP R&D is still finalizing the torque value. Our bolts were machined from ARP 2000 bar stock. Many of you involved in racing will recognize the material grade as it is widely used as an upgrade from 8740 chrome moly in both steel and aluminum connecting rods.
Had to buy a boat-load of them to get the cost down to a feasible amount, so no more worries, they will now be available, for a looong time.
