Started it's own thread. Don't want to fill up the "known 89 thread"

Ok the mystery is black/saddle. I have no record that such a ZR-1 was built. I am missing a few of build sheets in the 55 to 60 range so it is not impossible.

Here are known black ZR-1s in the #40 to #54 range:

The "Kim Baker" car:

This ZR-1 was delivered to France and was set up for high speed runs. Based on the placement of the rear "Corvette" emblem it was produced after #40.

Or it could be this one:

This ZR-1 was used by the GM for demonstrating to the Press high speed runs and race track condtions. These pictures are taken from Road and Track and would have been taken in the Spring of 1989.

Note the white expansion tank and the phase IV LT5 this would place it in the #40 to #54 range. The 3 black ZR-1s in that range were #42, #49, and #53. The problem is it appears to have a light gray interior. None of those three have a light gray interior on their build sheets.

Or it could be #56, #57, #59 or #60. I do not have those sheets as of yet.

After speaking with Geoff, he told mw thw body is that of an 89 pre-production car and the tan seats were form an 88 that was scrapped.
There are no roll bar holes, so that rules out the Baker car. Hope this helps to narrow it down a bit.

At least my 88 will be put together from almost all prototype or pre-production panels and parts, instead of a narrow body donor car.

OK since P9Y078 came back from Europe. It most likely isn't #10 which was one of only 2 black (#8 was black too) pilots (VIN 1 to 17). It was parted out in MI and the drive train is now known to be in CA. The body was then destroyed.
