Probably going to need to get one from a car in a salvage yard. I don't think anyone is reproducing these since it doesn't seem to be a commonly needed part, and there's lots of rust-free C4s in salvage yards.

yep....it was beginning to look this way.....not much chance of me finding a dry C4 chassis in UK thats being broken but lve put out feelers
water must have got in my one and settled over the years....it was a florida car up until 2007
will have to contact some stateside breakers
Thanks

theres a place in ohio that has a ZR-1 body that might fit your bill depending on what some yards quote you.
its
cleavland pick a part
they have had it on ebay for a while in the $900 range but have had it down in the $700 range a few times Im sure you could get it for less.
and you would end up with a whole frame

the rest of my frame is ok....and would rather cut and shut a section in than swap out the whole car onto another frame
plus..Im in UK so shipping over a 900 dollar frame would prob cost 1800 plus the money need to swap over a whole car
so its not an option for me.....none the less appreciate the info on the breakers....may give him a call and see if hes got the crossmember section l neeed on another donor 91-96 C4 frame
As far as l can see there is no difference between the crossmember on a zed and a standard C4 frame of similar years
l may yet fabricate up a simple box section to replace it.....then only have to jig the anti roll bar bracket sockets on it and job done

Are you talking about the rear section that unbolts from the car and holds the gas tank?

The cross member infront of the tank and just behind the rear axle....its welded in between the chassis rails.....seems its not an off the shelf item and requires fabrication.....so l bought a grinder, a mig welder, and a plasma cutter....like l needed another hobby
