He does have a silver ZR1. I saw it at Van Dorn's this year at the C4 Gathering. It has custom made emblems for the endurance record.
Not sure of the year though.

I believe it was a 91 and it used a silver that was similar to the special edition 82 C3. Also had a black halo/roof motif like the '88 anniversary C4.

I put it on a flatbed a few months ago when the master cylinder blew. I washed it prior to putting it on flatbed for transportation. I have pics of the load up lol.

That is a picture of EX5004. It is an 88 Prototype VIN# 0036. It was also in the 12/87 Issue of Popular Mechanics and is featured on page 78 of HOTB. Jim Dunne took the photo and is believed to be the earliest picture taken by an outsider. From that point on the cat was out of the bag.
It was the only 88 Prototype built with silver paint. Current status Unknown. Eric

Its "P" number is 0PR540 and was 1990 #0055. The "PR" means it was assigned to Marketing.

There is an August 87 spy picture that was in Motor Trend. It was a blue car going over a hill. Do you have that picture?

the 8/87 Motor Trend did not have any prototype pictures that I could find.
Based on further investigations the "Spy Photo" car was also the Talladega Oil surge test car featured on Page 93 of HOTB. This car was fitted with a roll bar and was used for "24 hour race" car most likely used in testing for the record run:

It was fitted with LT5 #038
