Regular 89 Vette Hood Same as ZR1 Hood?

Will a regualr 89 NON ZR1 Corvette hood work on a ZR1 or do I need to buy a 90-96 Corvette hood??

From what years? I know the 90-06 hoods are all the same but will 89 work with the ZR1 radiator configuration and LT5?

Technically 85-96 hoods are the same. The 84 had the plumbing underneath for the Crossfire injection. However the hood prop is not the same on the 85-86 cars so if you want everything to work perfectly in the swap you want a hood from an 87-96 model.

I was worried about the framework under the skin being somewhat different for the radiator assembly and LT5.

I already have an extra 90 hood but it has had a repair and I want one with no major damage ever.

Not exactly true. In 90 the radiator position changed. This change was on the 88 and 89 ZR-1s so those are different than the stock hood. I think this hood was used on stock 89s as the stock of out style hoods ran out.
