I'm interested in these...what do you mean about the o rings? I haven't been there yet with my car and I am interested in these. It seems RC is the best from all I've read. I'm a 91.

How many miles did these have and why did they have to be "gone through"

Why didn't you just say they can be used with any year?

Sorry, but just a little confused:confused:

The injector housings were changed in 1993, when the LT5 was modified for more HP. The earlier style fuel injector housings had a built-in o-ring (I think in the secondary injector ports), meaning that the secondary injectors did not need their own o-ring. These Accels can be used in the early style injector housings by removing the injector's lower o-ring, and the metal body of the injector seals against the o-ring in the injector housing.

The later injector housings do not have any built-in o-rings, and so the injectors provide the o-ring for sealing.

The injectors had about 20k miles on them, the previous owner of my car installed them, but the car sat for a while and I wanted to go through the whole fuel system, so I swapped these out. I was going to keep them around for a spare set, but I could use the cash more at this point.

Thanks for the quick reply...just a couple more questions, do you have to pull out the injector housings to do this work? And Does paypal work for you?

We can finish the deal with e mail at threestar40@mindspring.com. Also, I am in the middle of parting out a '92.

Anything you need or want?...I just sold the body to Kurt, I have some interesting interior stuff...radio bezel, shifter bezel, harnesses...mostly non-drivetrain stuff.

Rick =)

no you dont have to pull the inj housings .just pull the plenum. take off the electrical connectors .disconnect the fuel lines at the back of the plenum . remove 4 or is it 5 bolts that hold the fuel rails down and you can gently pry the injectors out whole both sides at once
