I placed this Thread here because I was afraid it may not get seen as easily in the parts section.
I am looking for a set of 1988 dated tires for my 88.
Thanks
Brett

If they are normal tread, and I think they would be, I'd be interested.
Thanks, Lee

I might have found some in FL today. I'll know more in a few days. Open to buying any and all dated 88 though, if price is fair.

Anyone have a set of Goodyear Gators for sale? I need 315's and also fronts. Looking for the best condition tires closest to the original tread pattern. This car will not be driven regularly so old tires are not a concern.
What do you have that you've taken off and saved????
Thanks

Brett so you need gatorbacks? or are you looking for the "prototype" tires like on Queenie?

I would love to have prototype tires but realistically, I'll probably have to settle for tires of the same tread pattern. Do they still make gatorbacks? I've never even thought about new ones until right now.

No the Gators are long gone. They show up on ebay from time to time. There have been a few sets forsale on the forum. They are the same pattern as Queenies. They were on 1990's and 1991's. Those would look correct with incorect dates.

That may be the best I can do until the needle in the haystack falls in my lap.
No big deal, as long as the tread pattern is correct. I would think that someone has a set they saved when they replaced their tires.
Anyone????????
Getting ready to send the wheels to Ye Old Wheel Shop for restoration. I'm not letting the grass grow under my feet while restoring this car.

Make sure the vents on the wheels are painted darker then the 89s. 89s are silver and 88s are dark silver.

I have my originals, so I should be right on the money with a color match.
