My Dad and I are in Florida for a while just having some fun for a three weeks. We are in Jacksonville now and will be in Miami next week. I dont have any of my vettes with me on the trip cause we need needed to haul three people for part of the trip. I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions for us to look at while we are here. We already hit the naval museum in Pensacola. the fantasy of flight, Don garlets museum. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I second that, Kennedy Space Center is great, you walk through the years of space travel, easly a full day to enjoy.

The Garlits museum is just a few miles south of where I live, on I-75... not much else to see in the area though, other than nature type things - hiking, nature trails, etc...

When you get to Miami, head west and check out Everglades National Park. It's not real exciting but it is interesting if you've not done it before. They have trams with narration that take you around the park and explain what you're looking at. Maybe 4 hours.

While in Miami you do not want to miss South Beach both during the day and at night.
Key Biscayne is also worth a visit where you can rent Jet Skis and cruise around Biscayne Bay.
Everglades National Park is unique and interesting, especially if you take an airboat ride.
As another poster said, going to the Keys can be a blast even if you do not make it all the way down to Key West.

Have fun and good luck.
