WESTMINSTER, Md. -- A man died Tuesday evening after a crash near Westminster, state police said.
Bruce Evan Samuelson, 41, of Reisterstown, died as a result of injuries from a crash on Route 140/Baltimore Boulevard south of Market Street shortly after 8:30 p.m., according to a statement released by troopers at the Maryland State Police Westminster Barrack.
Investigators said Samuelson somehow lost control of his Chevy Corvette and crossed all southbound lanes of Route 140. The car struck a curb in front of 821 Baltimore Blvd., jumped the curb and struck to parked vehicles in the parking lot of Bare Truck center.
The crash trapped Samuelson inside his car. Rescue crews extracted Samuelson from the car and took him to Carroll Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
State police continue to investigate a cause of the crash.
