When you guys got your wheels made how did you come up with the offset on the rears?Ive been in touch with the company and was told these are custom made so pretty much any offset is possible more or less.My car needs a set of wheels and these look the best. The best look to me would be with the face of the wheel almost flush, same depth for front, rear with the deep lug area for the rear wheel.Tire availability would dictate the wheel diameter, maybe 19s?

what width do you want to run . ive seen some 19s on c4s and they just look like all wheel to me ,18 do look very nice . you can run up to 12 in wide in the rear, but i would ck out available tire sizes and costs before deciding width .the offset is easy to figure once you have decided what tire you want to run

If I can get a 335-30-18 than thats what it will be on a 12 inch width in the rear if I can get the extra inch on the inside.Cost isn't the factor here, tire size will dictate what I go with.

Jeff,

A tool that I've used with good results is:

http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

I'd also recommend a quick review of other wheel specs.

Enjoy.

If tire size is driving your purchase, buy wheels that fit Michelin tires. Michelin is still making 335/35-17s for the Viper and you know that can't be a large market.

You could try 18/19 with F1 Supercar G:2, but look at the prices :thumbsdo:

I've wondered what 19 inch FM5s would look like on a ZR-1, go for it.

I have Fikse 18 x 10 on the front & 18 x 12 on the rear. No problem with the extra width to the inside. I think you could even go another inch wider to the inside, but there aren't any tires, so no purpose.

I agree and these will clear big brakes.

Last I checked Fikse didn't offer the FM5 in 19 inch sizes :(

If you are going to drop a bundle on wheels I'd try to go with 18x10F, 19x12R.... why? over 20,000 C6 Z06's = tire availability and selection.

wouldn't a 19" rear look a little "urban"?

Evidently they do now.

I'm running stock C6 Z06 18's & 19's as my DD and keep my 18's for show. They don't look "urban" at all IMHO. My car does need to be lowered to give it a better stance.
Ron K. runs 19's all around CCW 505's and they look good.
Fikse has some very agressive priceing on their wheels, wish I had the cash. :proud:

My two cents, but I'd think the stock rear brakes would look quite puny behind a 19" wheel.

Also, to the OP, technically speaking if you keep the same offset as you have now, the wheel will grow in each direction equally. I.e. if you went to an 11.5" wheel, it will push out 1/4" more than it does now.

However, I think in practice that doesn't end up being that true. But Fikse should know how to make a wheel fit a Corvette, they sell a lot of wheels for them. If a $500 chinese set of a-mold knockoffs can line up properly on a Z, Fikse should sure as hell be able to do it.

Their website still shows the Classic series as only being available in 17 and 18, the Profil line goes up to 20in. I hope you are correct, a 19in FM5 would look awesome in my opinion.
I have 18in wheels all around on my Z. Plenty of choices are available for front tires but not much out there for the rear. The Viper is about the only vehicle using big 18in rears OEM. That's why I say go 19 rear if at all possible - in the long run you will be much better off.

None taken:handshak: Go to the southeast section of this forum and check out the Mystic thread started by QBZR1. That is my black car filling up at the gas station. I will take some this weekend and post.
I'm also doing a C6Z06 rear brake upgrade to help fill in the 19" dia.

Im not sure what size at this point,at least an 18 but the offset will be pretty much written in stone with the responsibility on Fikse, they screw up the offset they eat a set of wheels and once made no resizing. The goal is the outside edge of the wheel to not extend past the OEM wheel, any offset towards the centerline of the car. Both front, rear wheels will have the exact dish same as a stock wheel.I was told the centers are pretty thick before the machining process to thats a plus. The rear tire will have to be a 315 or a 335.Pirelli makes a matched set of tires in either 18-19.
