hey Wazooooo

Tom told me that we can have a reserved area for ZR-1's, put up a tent, banner and some chairs.

I'm going to reserve a spot and hopefully we can round up a few ZR-1 owners.....

Any questions, post up and or email me.

Update.

Spoken to many Z brothers that are interested in going.... We will co sponsor the event, and have a trophy to give out in our name.

We were thinking "Wazoo" and below that ZR1netregistry!

$250 to be a co sponsor of the event and the money goes to a great charity.

Anyone who I haven't spoken to interested in joining up, please post up!

David's absolutely correct. Last year's event was a week later because we were forced to use our rain date. Fortunately it turned out to be one of the most georgous days of the entire year. With that in mind we've put the word out to the appropriate person ( there's only one person on our weather committee ) that we would appreciate the same kind of day. We also added the the boys from the ZR-1 Registry would be in town with a special guest appearance buy the infamous WAZOO gang.
So there you have it ....the fix is in. Looking forward to meeting some new ZR-1 brothers.
Thanks to all for your support

David - I got your message after a late meeting I was in yesterday. I'll give you a call today ....oh and by the way I love the addition to your signiture.

more info about what this event is about....

Most Corvette enthusiasts knew Chip Miller as the creator of the annual Corvettes at Carlisle (http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/corvette/index.asp) Corvette Show and one of the main driving forces behind the Corvette hobby.

Chip Miller was taken from us in March of 2004 from a little known disease called Amyloidosis. The Chip Miller Charitable Foundation (http://www.chipmiller.org/) was formed to raise funds for the research, education, and awareness of amyloidosis and related diseases.

Lance Miller(Chip's son) is a huge Corvette enthusiast and owner of numerous ZR-1 / ZR1's... For those who have never been to the Corvettes of Carlisle, this is by far the best Corvette event of the year! This year we had over 70 ZR-1's and 200+ members show up.

This event (Corvettes for Chip) is a one day show that will bring over 400 Corvettes and this is all in the name of Chip. (100% of the money goes to charity!)

I've heard from 6pp thus far and looking for at least 3 more.

Even if you just want to show up, that would be great! Lets represent the ZR-1 in one of the last shows of the year.

Per my phone conversation with Dave and PMs with George we are going to meet at 8:30AM for preshow breakfast at:
Chaddsford (Pub) Tavern
1400 Baltimore Pike
Chadds Ford, PA 19317
610-459-8453

Directions:
Driving north on Route 1, pass 2 traffic lights in Chaddsford, at the second light Hanks will be on your left, keep going about a mile and there will be a small strip store on the right side that had La Vignia Resturant and a for lease sign is on the site. Chadds Ford (Pub) Tavern is immediately after that. The Chaddsford (Pub) Tavern will be on your right side. If you hit 202 you went a mile too far.
Driving south on route 1 go one mile past 202 the Chadds Ford (Pub) Tavern will be on your left. You will have to make a U turn to get there. Becareful it's a bad section of roadway.

If you can't make it there for breakfast we plan on leaving there at 9:30AM. All are welcome to meet up to drive into the show together.

We'll leave by 9:30AM for a real nice back road drive to the show. Unfortunately that drive will only be about 15 minutes!

Please let me or Dave know if you will meet us for breakfast or after. I'd like to give the Pub a headsup on the head count!

Dave,

Just returned from Brandywine St. Park, we've been down their since about 10 getting things set up. The Z's area is all set and we'll cordon it off in the morning with cones and tape. Looks as though the weather is going to cooperate, a little chilly until the suns up a while, but a nice day overall. FYI .. We'll have a small building not far from you that will be heated so people can warm up if need be. Looking forward to seeing you and meeting some new "Z" brothers. Safe travels to everyone tomorrow and keep it under 100 ( at least for the most part ) gotta stretch it's leg's a few times. See ya in the a.m.

For any detail advice or needs just call me, in state or out of state. I do not own a Z, but my 84 has real Z A-molds on the rear, aftermarkets up front. Hope everyone made it home yesterday safely and no tickets.:)
