Since we censor here, you'll have to fix the url yourself. Or if the whole thing gets yanked, it's in the "wheels & tires" section of the other forum.
18" wheels at all four corners for $3,400.

Bob:
I personally think it's about F'ing time to tell "The Board" to knock off this childish censoring of "That Other Forum" url in links.
What good does it do besides to make our Forum look like its moderated by bigger azzhats than the moderators over at "That Other Forum"?
Not that I agree with what goes on over at "That Other Forum", I've been "PermaBanned" more than once.....
:o
Anybody else out there agree with me?

I suspect plenty of folks. There have been many threads about it, you just won't find them anymore as they all get deleted vs locked (vs running their course).
Anyway, I wonder if Fikse still makes 17" wheels. The original Fikse had stopped, but they went under. It would be cool if the new owners started making 17's again. Though I guess 18's are the way to go if upgrading. Tire selection seems a tough call, though. Initially 17's seemed to be drying up, but now there are a bunch of offerings. Not sure there's as much in the 18's as there used to be?

I agree with you guys, I don't see why corvette dot forum is not allowed. Keep in mind that the Registry Board or its members do not own, operate or control this forum.

It would almost be interesting to learn why the censorship exists at all and why it's been tolerated for so long.
But, nah.
Don't care.
Time to stand up and be an American.
Lets Vote on it.
All in favor of Banning Censorship, say:
AYE!!!
By the way, nice looking wheels.
I'll buy a lottery ticket on the way home from work tonight.

Please don't blame the Board for this policy on the Forum.
The Board of Directors of the ZR-1 Net Registry has no control over the policies on the Forum. I have been trying to get the policy of blocking links to other forums changed for about 18 months, both before and after I was a Board member. I have been unsuccesful, so far. I will keep trying.

This is from the blazer forum owned by the same company that owns the corvette forum.

Totally agree, I got permabanned once too. azzhats is a good descriptor.
try not to go there too much anymore anyways. I do still check it though.
Some AFR dealer was trying to sell us cylinder heads and we were, well, being a little mean to him, not me, but someone else and the moderator butted in and I called him out and he permabanned me...I basically told him to take his own advice and stay out of our business...Maybe I had one too many beers that night, but he ultimatley let me back in after I apologized. Also he told me to go find another forum that was "less moderated" It was Mike, whoever that is.

They DO have 17" wheels, and at quite a tempting price!

As posted on the C/F
Attention Corvette F0rum Members - We are currently running a "Motorsport Stimilus Plan" sale that provides deeper discounts on our wheels than have ever been seen before. What does this mean?
It means you can currently purchase a full set of brand new 18" Fikse Wheels (in any style you choose) for only $3,400! (Normal retail is $4,360)
For the most common Corvette application, 18" front/19" rear, a full set (in any style you choose) will only run you $3,720! (Normal retail is $4,760)
If you're in to the larger diameters at all 4 corners, you can get a full set of brand new 19" Fikse Wheels (once again, in any style you choose) for only $3,950! (Normal retail is $5,060)
For further details, or to place an order, feel free to either shoot me a PM or email me at danny@fikse.com. Get 'em at this price while you can!

Yes, our entire line is available in 17" sizes and the price for a full set of 17"s is only $2,720 + shipping during this sale
Can't you still view threads as a guest there, though? 4 17's, any style, for $2,700 is pretty tempting. I assume any width as well. I think I will stick with my A-molds, but damn that's tempting.
Part of the problem is I don't even know what wheels I'd get. I can't get FM5's, as they are about as common as A-molds. I wonder what the Profil 10's would look like on the Z, but don't want to find out by buying them.

I think the Profil 10 would look good as well as the Profil 5S

I like the Chroma 19's, not too much more than what I paid for my CCWs a year ago.
