NEW CORVETTE COMPRESSOR WITH A RE-MANUFACTURED CLUTCH ASSEMBLY NIPPONDENSO.
* NIPPONDENSO
* TYPE 10PA17C
* 6 GROOVE PULLEY
* R134A Refrigerant
* 1 Year Warranty from Purchase
$225+ shipping to your door......... Anybody Interested?
Note: Had to change including shipping to plus shipping. 10:30 9/13
If we get more orders, pricing would decrease so its possible shipping could be free which I estimate at about $20-$25 since compressors are heavy.
Please post your email in your response so I can contact you easily for final pricing and obtaining shipping address etc.

That is a good price. Does the compressor include the clutch? Who is the seller?
I am interested for two units (maybe three) if they are complete and ready to install.
Thanks for setting this up.

Jim,
At this point there are 2 needed to get the price and 2 are in inventory.
I am interested in 1 of them and if you are interested in 1 we would be good to go.
I am checking on the connectors and clutch part #'s as there is a difference between the years on connectors and clutches.
1990 ZR-1 uses clutch part # 10158044
1991-1995 uses clutch part # 10243785
What years are you looking for?
I tried to do a group buy on compressors before and few were interested. Jeff Flint contacted me a few weeks ago as he and I could only find them in the $400-$500 range for compressor/clutch. The prior vendor I had was partsladi who is no longer on ebay. That Group Buy had a price of around $220 with a new compressor and new clutch.
This group buy would be a new compressor and rebuilt clutch.
I don't want to get stuck paying $400-$500 which is why I'm going put one on the shelf.
The more people who want in, the better price I can probably get.
Post in this thread if you are willing to drop the Hammer on one in the next few weeks.
So far it looks like the count is at least 3 or 4.

I might be interested in one for 90 MY. Does anyone know the size of box it would be shipped in and weight of a complete unit? I am trying to figure out cost for shipping with the California shipping service I use.
Thanks!

Wow, she comes home often. Thanks for the offer and I would appreciate it if this could happen in time.

Be sure the clutches are correct! I went through this once before. The ZR-1 takes a different clutch than the standard c4. An incorrect clutch will shred the belt.

Jeff,
I have not heard back from the vendor and quite honestly I've been busy traveling and then sending out books and fuel filters. It takes some time to do these things, communication flows through Instant messages, threads, email and paypal and usps snail mail and money order. Checking payments are correct and I have every bodies correct contact information and mail to address as many people sometimes don't provide that info. Also, ensuring everybody gets what they ordered and there are no screw ups.
I understand it's been a month or two that the compressors were mentioned.
My intention is to still do them. Keep in mind it's not a cheap order for a member and I want to make sure everything is kosher. I don't want anybody upset at me because they had to wire a new connector or their serpentine belt got chewed up because of the wrong clutch etc.
More then likely I will delve further into the issue this week. I understand you need one now. I may or may not be able to assist right away. Therefore, if you are in need now, it might be best if you source one.
There is a member on my facebook zr-1 site who claims to have purchased car buffs parts. You might want to see if he has the compressor.

Also some other sources:

http://www.jerrysgaskets.com
Dynomite has a big list of sources for parts.
Thanks for your interest, I plan to do other things when time allows.:cheers:

If you don't already have BillMeLater then you can get this for $201 shipped to your door. BillMeLater offers first time and one time 20% off the item including the shipping. I had to pay $211 since I am in Hawaii and shipping is $30. The other good thing is the owner of Jensen Auto understands that we sometimes don't need this item immediately. As long as he is in business he will activate the warranty once you install and all you have to do is call him or email even if years from now.
The item is top quality and a brand new compressor with rebuilt clutch. He only has 4 of these left so I would jump on it if you can use the BillMeLater first time user discount for 20% off as I did.

xlr8n,
Thanks for the info, I contacted Gary on Facebook about the parts he bought from Carbuff on CF. Waiting for a cost from him..
Thanks for trying to get this together, I understand it is tough.. Thanks for your efforts
Craig,
Thanks I saw that on eBay too, Billmelater has only $5 that purchase.. still a good buy. I am kicking myself for not buying the compressor from carbuff on CF, but did not have the funds right then..
I have another lead to one as well, I might snag, I know my clutch works but unsure if the compressor in my car fully functions.. but I know it does work.
thanks for the help

Thanks for posting the eBay link for the ZR-1 AC compressor/clutch. I did the BUY IT NOW...I thought it was a fair price, considering the scarcity of this item...with the clutch. When I bought mine at about 8 AM CST this morning there were 6 available. When I looked again at about 7 PM CST they were all gone.
I usually look on eBay twice a day looking for LT5 and ZR-1 related items...this one escaped me...so once again thanks for bringing these units to the groups attention.

It's always nice when family within the brotherhood can take advantage of these. I don't know why anyone else could not get the 20% discount from the BillMeLater if they never used it before like I did. I asked Jon from Jensen if he will get anymore, but I believe these are all and he started out with about 9 of them. I should have bought stocks in Ebay!! :cheers:

If anyone else is interested, Jon from Jensen Auto got a hold of 7 more of the same units that will be listed by the end of the week.
