I remember reading on one of the forums about at what point the cam chains will fail at. And I remember seeing a vid of someone taking there ZR-1 up to 190mph and reving way over 8K but I couldn't find the vid. Well I found it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfY0r4yR2B0&feature=related
Doesnt sound like 9000rpm. Compare to this where the tach reaches 8000rpm or so during the 1-2 shift.

Come on guys, no way is that LT5 Turning 8000 + RPM. For one, the rev limiter would have kicked in and for sure, you can put money in the bank the tach is 1000 RPM off as are nearly all C4 90-96 Clusters.
Still, the thought of spinning 8000 RPM's is interesting to say the least.
