Does anyone have Carrera shocks on their ZR-1? I took mine off yesterday and noticed the spherical ball a little loose and all the bushings are falling apart. Has anyone had them rebuilt? What bushing kit did you use?
QA1 has threaded tube shocks for coil over setups with "Carrera Shock Curve" ???

This either still is or was Ellis Engineering. The web address has changed a little but you can be helped here. Steve's snapshot still appears on the web-page so I expect it's the same people.
I was to have had a set of Carrera shocks sent to me from Canada and they were never sent. It's a very long, difficult story! I spoke to Steve about confirming the valving etc and buying possible replacement parts. At that time it wasn't going to be a difficult task. Is it today? Don't know.
The 6349 is a correct front shock and if you "poke around" on the web-page you'll find an application catalog that confirms this and also explains the numbering system.
Steve was very helpful when I discussed mine with him but it's been several years.
Strangely enough the fellow that owes me the shocks contacted me a few days ago and mentioned he was going to ship them.
Ellis/Carrera would be my "first call" and if I didn't do well I'd call Speedway! They should be able to help you for sure.

There's explanations for adjustment on the "products" page on the first link also. There's a good bit to be absorbed regarding your shocks from that web-page.
Since your FX3 is disabled if you're interested in a set of Bilstein's assembled I might consider a sale of a set of those that I have. I've also a set of QA-1 Single adjustable also. Bilstein's are used (low miles?) the QA-1's are new.

Found some more info on my shocks. After removing the spring I noticed it had writing on the bottom; 10 SF 525 Carrera. 10 inch spring, 525lb rated.
Went over to Carreracustom.com and the site was not up. Went over to Ellis Engineering and saw this:
It is with extreme sorrow I have to make this announcement. Because of severe Heath issues we have suspended all Operations. If you have any questions or need further information please e-mail us at ellisengineering@aol.com
I'll be watching to see if operations resume or not.

how did the 525 spring ride?
I have 425 Springs (suggested by Rippie) in the front.. I will have 275 in the rear

how it rode? yikes, been a while and I bought it that way so I don't have a 'stock' reference.
Firm yes, but I don't remember it rattling the insides (more than a usual 90's GM car) and it didn't buck over highway joints. I'll be taking the rears off next to check those spring rates and clean them up.
