Frank,

If I was back on the East coast I'd be up there. Mystic is a great place and a nice ride. Take the Merritt Pkwy and then to the coast. :dancing

Would love to meet up with the WAZOO Crew on the way up! We have room for folks who might want to crash for the night after the show on the way home. Location is just about 90 miles south of Mystic in CT near the NY border. Dave, Ricky, Phil, and Jim should know the way...

Guys, look me up when you when you get to Mystic. My club "For Covettes Only" puts on the event. Email me if you need any info on hotels/restaurants/local attractions etc or which slot machines are hot @ Foxwood (5 miles away...), dmarshall2003@comcast.net. We historically get over 250 Vettes! It's a glorified Vette cruise-in not a judged show, you don't even have to wipe off the bugs that got splattered on your windshield @ 180mph if you don't want to! Big John will be there with his '95 Callaway LM ZR-1, this car was on display @ the NCM last year, he drives it regularly!

Absolutely! Will you be coming up the Merritt from Norwalk or trying to take I-95? We can arrange an easy meeting place along the route.

We're thinking about a little BBQ for Z-Brothers post-event. You are most welcome to join if interested.

:hello: Scott,

I'm coming from the NYS CT border near Portchester. My Z brother, Lou lives in Norwalk so if I can convince him to join us I suppose we would use 7 east to 95 from Norwalk.

In any event I'll post up here and if it's just me I'll meet you guys anywhere you say.

Tom -

If you are coming in from Portchester to Norwalk, I'm guessing you will do I-95? We could meet up along I-95 at one of the gas station/rest stops then caravan to Mystic.

Maybe meet at 9:00 AM at the north-bound mile marker 41 McDonalds on I-95?

What think?

Scott, sounds good to me. I figure if I am flying solo I'll shoot up 95 to that mickey D's.

If Lou is joining us, I will shoot up the Merritt to his house. His house is out by the Merritt. In that case I figure to use 7 to 95. We should be good for an intercept at the same Mickey D's, right? I'm sure Lou will know if 7 to 95 is a good course to meet up with you.

In any event I'll stay tuned to this thread.

Tom,

Picking up I-95 at route 7 and heading north is still good for the Mickey D's at MM 41.

If the WAZOO guys can make it around 9:00 - 9:30 we could easily be in Mystic before the 11:00 AM start.

I'll check with David and keep this post updated to be sure we are on the same page. Thx.

Hello everyone.
I recently purchased a 1990 ZR-1. Had some teething pains but it is now running strong.
I'd like to join up with the caravan traveling to Mystic.
I'm out of Bethany and am close to Rt. 15 and I-95.
This sounds to be a pretty good time.

Hello and welcome to the ZR-1 Net Registry Forum. I am glad to hear that you will be joining us at Mystic.

The WAZOO group that I am traveling with will be coming from Maryland and then from NJ on Sunday morning. I don't know our exact route yet.

Welcome!!! Glad to have another Z-brother in CT. Please join us on the cruise to Mystic. Several ZR-1's will be meeting the WAZOO group at MM 41 on I-95 Northbound at the McDonalds. Current plans are to meet around 9:00....still waiting for them to firm up the time after leaving Ricky's house in NJ. You are welcome to join us at my house afterwards for a cookout. FYI, I live in Newtown, CT - about 30 minutes from you.

Pretty sure I will be able to join in. I live in Norwalk, Ct., between I95 & CT15(Merritt Prkwy). It less then 2 miles to cut over here to 15N. We can take 15N to Milford, Ct. & then cut back over to 95N (less then 2 miles). 15N is a much nicer driving road & bypasses one of the worst sections of (25 miles) of 95N. If you want we can hook up @ my house which is right off rt. 7 & on the way. Lou

What a great show. Many thanks to Doug Marshall and For Corvettes Only for all the hard work. I believe there were some 350 Corvettes there, including 17 ZR-1s! Dave Johnson is a Rock Star and has the "best of the best" trophy to prove it! I think Tom picked up some hardware as well.....rumor has it he traded the trophy for a slice of Mystic Pizza........

The members of "For Corvettes Only" and I would like to sincerely thank all you guys in the "brotherhood" for showing up at Vettes in the Village in Mystic! I hope you all had a good time, I know I did! It was great to see you all again! Having that many ZR-1s there was a real treat that wasn't missed by all the other attendees! We're still figuring things out, but we know for sure we had well over 300 Vettes there, the biggest one yet! Next year 400? I think Tom Tom had an anchovy and pineapple pizza from Mystic Pizza, hope he made it back to NY without having to stop a few times...
Thanks again,

Hi John, Thanks for hosting the Northbound pit stop for the WAZOO crew from Maryland.

Thanks to Doug and the For Corvettes Only for putting on a very nice Corvette Show. It was well attended and all of the hard work by you guys to make it happen was obvious.

I counted 17 ZR-1's. They all looked great and thanks to Doug and David some of us were parked front and center at the entrance so were got a lot of attention.

We met three owners for the first time and encouraged them to check out the Forum and to join the Registry.

Here are some pictures that I took:
