Hi All,

Is there a supplier (new or rebuilt) for the alternator and or starter ?

Ebay shows nothing for the alternator.

Our new ZR1 is running well and most of the small projects are done.

Yet to go are, oil pan gasket, BU light switch and the clutch M and S.

Cheers to you all

You can get either rebuilt locally pretty easily, just go to an automotive electrician.

DO NOT get the e-bay alternator !

As above.....good advise.

Great idea on the local rebuilders. I guess I will have to get a starter and alternator rebuildable core and go from there.

Just yank yours out and have the rebuilder do his thing. It won't take him long.

Typically it is the front bearing that goes.If you have access to a press, pick up a new set of bearings. When we rebuilt my alternator the bearings were < $20.00.

And you dont have to worry about getting the wrong alternator in the wrong Clock position.
