Gentlemen,

I have some 1989 ZR-1 parts that I would like to sell. I have not posted hard prices because I am not sure what to ask. The price mostly depends on the interest out there. But, with spark plug wires going for $500 please do not lowball it. This is the kind of stuff that only a few guys have and even few guys want. Things you must be totally nuts to buy, things you can only find once, and things you never tell your wife about.

I am not selling on a first-come-first-serve basis. I am selling when the offer sounds like the best one that will come along. I may also trade for something related to Corvettes.

If you have an interest in the ?89?s, even if you do not need any of the below, you are welcome to send an email just to connect.

Shoot an email if you are interested and I will forward photos. Or reply here. CorvettesWhite@gmail.com (CorvettesWhite@gmail.com)
.

1 Prototype rear-end out of 1989 number #10. This looks like a mock up for the Active Suspension cars. At least $1000.

2 6-speed console out of a graveyard crushed car. This would make a good placeholder part if you need one, but it is not in good shape. At least $100.

3 8000 RPM Flat Dash. Brand new, never installed. Part number 25089313. This is the Canadian version of the dash. Offer.

4 Two rear tires. P315/35ZR17. These look brand new but have been mounted. I cannot tell if they have ever been on the ground - the molding whiskers are still there. Best I can tell, these were molded in February of 1989. On the right side ●709●. On the left side ●0729●. (I cannot make sense of this second code.) The wheels look like they have never been used. Looking to sell the tires, not the wheels. Offer.

5 Coolant tubes that look like they are off an Active Suspension car. If you own one of these cars, I will just send them to you.

(I know it is off topic but where else would one post?)

Thanks, George

George, I may be interested in the rear tires if you still have them. I need to find two front tires of the same vintage. Preferably 1988 dates.

George, does the console plate have a rectangular push button where it says 6 speed? Mine is missing the push button.

Agreed, you need to get a a good price.

FYI, spark plug wires sell low $300's to mid $300's in this current economy.

George, is the pic of the console just for reference or is it the one for the 89.

Just for reference to help you out. The 89 cars had just the key. not the transmission switch.

Question for you. Did the all the 88 cars have the 6 speed switch? There was also another dash that I had seen with only the key but different graphics, larger font.

Attached is a shot of a production 89 part. George

What was the 6-speed switch for?

6-spd button
I thought that was just a display showing the shift pattern, they had one similiar in the LT-5 Camaro I believe.

Now that you ask, I do not know for a fact, but always assumed that it was to disengage the skip shift featrure that was part of the ZF 6-Speed.

Tyler should know the answer. I believe his console is the same as mine.

Do you have the OEM LT5 emblem that was on the rear bumper? I am interested in a couple of those.

Jerry, I have a lot of '89 Z stuff, but not one of those. Very rarely I have seen them for sale, and If I come across one, I will let you know.
