View Full Version : Cylinder Head Secondary Shaft Bore Plugs

For the 402 LT5 stroker project I will be ditching the secondaries.
Turned out these aluminum pieces on the lathe to plug the shaft bores remaining in the cylinder heads. The plugs are slightly oversized, sealed with a dab of Loctite 462 and driven in with a hammer. Protruding part will be taken care of during porting. For the upper blind hole I drilled a small hole through the plug in order to vent the air trapped behind it as it was driven in.

Thanks Jerry, I'm an engineer and picked up running machine tools while in the navy.
