Looks like Greg Davis in Texas has one on his list of for sale items. Better scarf it Keith.

A few years ago someone was making the pivot by CNC'ing the part from alu to replace the plastic part. Can not recall who though. George

Well, lift the seat cushion, remove 4 bolts - one in each corner of the frame - and disconnect one plug and voilah! The seat is outta there! Then, even if you're like many of us "full figured" dudes, it won't be bad getting down there...Better yet, have one of those Hooter Girls get down in there while you supervise...Um yeah.............................................. .................................................. ..........................................
Oh! Where was I? (Musta been day dreaming "or something")
Anywayz, once you get the broken part out, save it for me. I fabbed up a thing or two e.g., gas door hinges being the latest (previous C4), and I'll send you pre-paid envelope/box. Might be able to do something a little more permanent with it.
Now, back to the Hooter Girl...You'll have to find one with some mechanical ability, so you may want to hold auditions for the job? Just a thought, ol' buddy!! I'd drive down to help ya, but I gotz my own damn problems at the moment!;)

Keith - being a "large" person makes it pretty tight under that dash board. You probably also have bifocals which really makes it tough. This all comes from being experienced in this position. Also the thong probably ride up a bit... I like the idea of finding one of the Hooter girls that is mechanically inclined............

You might just pop the hood first and make sure the throttle cable is still routed properly. If the cable hold-down brackets slipped and the cable has slack, the pedal could act like you are describing.

Hey Keith,
Here is a contact for the metal mount if that is what broke (plastic) on your pedal. I tried to post the link from Smokin Vettes but forgot that it hides some of the link. Apparently, the guy that was making the aluminum ones past away from cancer a few years ago (from the thread). This guy is making stainless ones: Dave 440-371-5332 for $60
If not, I was fortunate to get the aluminum one years ago and still have the plastic factory one that I can send to you if you want it. PM or email me.
Carter,
I think you should start making these too. There is a big demand in the C4 community for the pedal mounts.

Ok can you verify if the cable is still attached to the gas pedal?
its just a plastic round tab style conector that plugs into a hole on the gas pedal arm.
It just snaps in so if that is broken need to figure out which is broken.
Im not sure if I have a gas pedal but I do have the cable!! its a NOS one never used!
get some cutie you know to crawl in there!
