I am looking for a roof panel edge trim - "U" shaped powder coated trim piece for the panel edge.
Anyone know where I could find this? Preferably new. I will settle for used and have it powder coated.

Yun, talk to David. He bought a primered top from me that had that roof panel edge trim missing. Unless I heard him wrong, he got the top painted and the edge piece installed. Said it looked like new...

I will call him. Hopefully wherever he bought has an extra one.
I can remove, blast and powder coat but prefer a new piece if I can find one.

Thanks.

Hey Yun,

There are several places you can order new GM 10284148.

http://www.gmpartsgiant.com/parts/gm-molding-10284148.html This is a good price it seems.

http://www.partszoneonline.com/parts.php?srch1=10284148&srch2=&srch3=&srch4=&srch5= I like buying from these guys.

I forgot where I bought mine from a few years ago, but I do remember it came in a huge box due to the way it is packaged. I was being anal and mine only had a small ding that I could have cleaned up and painted or PC'd as you mentioned. I still have it and would ship it for free but shipping is a killer from here and luckily I bought mine when I lived in GA and had the government move with household goods.

I'll check around more and let you know what else I find.

I ended up buying it off the CF... Those pieces go pretty cheap and they are standard Corvette parts.

Fantastic!!!
Thanks Craig and David. Once I get the replacement piece I can take the old one off without a fear of damaging it and not being able to replace it.

This is great!:worship:

Yun,

You're welcome and I don't have much to share, but try to when I can. I'm sure you don't need any help with this, but just in case here is some info that helped me when I did mine. I forgot what kind of sealer I used to hold mine on.

I can use all the help I can get.
I figured I would remove the roof, masking tape tight to the trim, remove trim, polish and then tap the molding on.
