Of course, more expensive too.

I've heard that no aftermarket HID conversion kit is legal anywhere because they don't comply with the necessary regulations on light scattering and protection from blinding oncoming drivers. That said I did look in to it a while back and found this company that seemed to offer good products.

I haven't tried their products but I think others on the forum have. I'm still on the fence at the moment.
Thanks
Dave

Only thing is $610 seems to be a bit steep compared to others.

I am of the opinion that HID's in a non-projector housing are a good way to blind the crap out of oncoming traffic.
Reflector beams mounted on a rotating housing, that is mounted to a hinged panel, seems like it would have mediocre at best beam control.
The headlights on C4's are not that great, but personally I think jamming more light into a poor system is not the correct fix. But that's just my opinion.

I agree with Bob and Dave.
Our lights are old tech so before you start spending money on the head lights I was thinking ( JMHO ) to look into the fog light conversion that the corvetteHID.com guys sell. At least with that you could use'em and turn them off at on coming traffic.
Also, there is the voltage loss that the OE wiring system causes. Okay, you know what's coming, yes http://www.danielsternlighting.com/ but go and read what this guy has to say. It made sense to me.:dontknow:

I bought a HID conversion kit from the bay a couple months back and I think it works great. It came with the projector beam housing so it doesn't blind oncoming drivers. The install was simple and now I can see at night.

Which system did you get and what vendor? If you remember
The level 2 system from TLG looks pretty good

I did the HID foglight conversion and ended up sending the kit back for a refund. On my car they never really worked great together one light was either always brighter or one light would stay off. I tried multpile bulbs, multiple grounding point etc. I never could get the electrical gremlin out of them. So I went back to stock bulbs and havent had a problem since. Your mileage may vary I'm just relating my experience with them. For all I knew I may have had a bad ballast but after trying everything to get them to work right in pairs in the end I just gave up. 3 months of pulling them in and out drove me nuts. GC
