Okay I've tried reading all the posts on these wheels and am not sure what I need to do, if anything to make them fit.

I have a 94 with Wilwood 6 piston calipers and 13" rotors (part no 140-8337) up front and just purchased some Shelby wheels. I don't have the wheels yet and want to know what I have to do to make them fit. I would like to do as little as possible.

From what I have read if you use the stock brakes the Shelby Rims fit with no issues...but for larger calipers you have to unbolt the centers from the front wheels and move them towards the outside of the wheel...then run a wheel spacer to get brake caliper clearance.

So the rear wheels will fit fine as is?

I'm not sure about the rears...i didn't pay it to much concern because I run the stock brake system. The Shelby Series 1 ran the same brake system, so I guess it is good enough. Hah...I'd love a Wilwood setup.

If you have stock rear brakes; yes they fit, at least that is what I was told. My tires come in Thursday, and as soon as I get them mounted and find a Lugnut Key for those crazy lugnuts; I will mount em up.

If you can't find your lugnut key, you might be better off taking it to discount tire, they will take them off for $20. Of course the locks will be useless after but they are pretty useless now anyway.

I reversed the centers and mounted them with 1/4in spacers and longer wheels studs - all four. Keeps the tires inside the fenders and allows enough clearance for the 4 piston Alcons I have up front. You can leave the rears alone if you want but they will stick out a half inch or so.

No more than my Fikse Fm-5s. They look great

I don't mind them sticking out by 1/2". They look pretty good like that. My main concern is the fronts clearing the Wilwoods.

Okay, where did you guys get the spacers? Were they hubcentric?

Do you have a part number for the studs?

Can I just add a set of these to the fronts and leave the wheel centers alone?

Thanks Jeff, how hard was it to change the studs?

the rears were not too bad, but they were newer with longer studs from the GS wheels I had with spacers

Front were tough since they were original (63K miles)

get the tool to press them out though

No way..

1/4" spacer, with the studs I mentioned.. swap the centers from inside to outside... do it for all 4 wheels.. trust me and locobob, makes them fit a lot better

I installed mine without moving the centers and no spacers based upon advice I received given I would have no clearance issues with stock brakes.

I was okay with the results although the wheels set out under the fenders just a bit.

I recently put my stock Amolds back on my car to take pictures for my sale ad and I guess I had forgotten how the wheels were meant to tuck in so cleanly.

After doing so and seeing pics of Jeff's results, if I keep my car I will definitely be moving the centers and running spacers as he and Robert have done. :worship:

'nuff said, thanks

What tool did you use to press the studs out?

I fought them out with a C-Clamp
