this seems to good a deal to be true if its actually a lingenfelter motor....anyone know anything about this

I don't know, but when someone cannot tell you particulars about something, it is a little less attractive, at least imho. I thought about it, and went with a local engine for 2700.00

It's not a crate engine...it is an engine sitting on a crate :)
I think this engine was offered once before on ebay...not sure if the mate offering it is the same, or if he is the chap that bought it before. I'm wondering why there are no top end gaskets on it. As someone commented earlier...it might just be the a ported Lingenfelter plenum.
Someone bought it for $3750. If it is a forum member maybe we'll find out the whole story later.

Cool part about that lt5 is the lower end came out of 1990 #002. SO that is a very early LT5.
