Also Luis hooked me up with the original GM cam cover emblems. I didn't want to buy the after market ones unless I just couldn't find the originals. I told him man thats all I need to put the icing on the cake after the powder coating I had done 6 monthes ago. And he said take em. I have another set. He paid $300 a set for them and just gave a set to me.

Thats a true buddy. Now that empty black hole where the cam covers emblems are suppose to be will be filled finally.

Where's the Eddie Baur? :hello:My wife had it at work that day. I don't drive it much. I drive the cadillac with the north star in it. That thing is fast.

Oh and Carter here's the Eddie Baur Expedition that will be pulling the vette to BG next year. That thing is huge inside and out. And to think I almost bought that 07 530i BMW. I'll get allot more use outta the Expedition.

Sorry Rick, but I just have to ask......how does our clutch forks get bent like that? Are they that weakly made, or is something else going on?
TIA

from all the posts I have read about this issue it almost seems it will be in my best interest to machine myself a new fork. Those things look flimsy as heck, then add a upgraded pp on top of it and it looks like you have a recipe for disaster :thumbsdo:

TomI think it was already bent like that before I bought it. Because I always noticed that compared to all of my freinds Z's that I've driven my clutch would engage only about 2" off the floor board where as all my freinds Z's would have to let the clutch peddle out at least 50% before they would engage. Now that I put the new fork in mine engages just like everybody elses. I'm still getting use to how far I have to let the peddle out before engagement happens. That Clutch I bought is bad azz. When I want to shift nice and easy it does. When I want to shift fast it grabs with authority and doesn't let go. Spec recommends that I break the clutch in for at least 500 miles before I really romp on it. I highly recommend the Stage 3+ Spec clutch kit.

Rick thanks for the insights!
I'll have to put the symptoms about the engagement point on the BOLO list of strange clutch behavior!
Good luck with the new clutch set up!
