Long story short, I sent a original battery for the 95 ZR-1 to Cameron Battery in Emporium PA. (Jim Kane) to get it re-manufactured, and now it appears that the buisness is not there anymore and he is not around
(Just called the Emporium police department, that is where some of this info is comming from)
They will be doing more checking around for me.

I want my battery back!!!!!:censored::mad::-x

I am sending my daughter to Emporium to find Jim. I own a summer home there and her and her family are going up for Memorial Day. Jim has done many batteries for me. If she can find him I will have her pick up any batteries that has been sent for rebuilding. I also know where he lives I do not know the address but she will find it.

Update,
Have the local police still looking for him. They say they have made contact with him, but have not heard anything yet.
Thanks for your help!

Hopefully my daughter will find him, I have asked her to get all the batteries he has for rebuild and take them to my house and leave them there. I will then let you all know and we can make arrangements. If she finds him I am sure he will work with her. He has always been a straight up guy.

:-D:-D

My daughter tracked Jim down. He gave up his business and is working for the gas company. He gave her your battery and it is safe and sound in my home in Emporium PA. We can take it from here.

I know what it feels like. I had used this guy and recommended him to many. He has always been slow but good, I guess he just could not make a living anymore. Glad to help.

Hello Tim, and welcome to the forum. :handshak:

Considering your offer and how this turned out, I'm surprised you have not received any positive reputation points yet. Let me be the first to give you some, and say thanks for your efforts.

Tom has been very influential in the NCRS circles. and helped write most of the C4 TIM&JGs. Tom was team leader when I had my 84 w/ 3,000 miles judged, and an all around nice guy (do I get more points next time the 84 gets judged?? :-D)

Yes I am originally from western PA and moved to AZ about 5 years ago. Our NCRS Chapter out in AZ has been moving right along and have many C4 guys. Back east if it did not have chrome bumpers it was not a Corvette. Glad we could get the battery problem solved as I said Jim has done many batteries for NCRS members and I was sorry to hear he got out of the business. Hope to see you all at an NCRS Event soon come up and introduce yourselves. I was so glad to see the NCRS section on the Registry.

Still have it, dad's doing well he's teaching now as a retirement from the nuke plant and he seems to really enjoy it. I no longer belong to the pittsburgh chapter, or any other vette club except the registry...I got tired of all the ********. Since then I've also moved to central va...nice area, plenty of nice roads but we don't have a garage here so the car's still in western pa. And no I'm out of school now, but my wife has one year left in law school then we hope to be moving upto northern va.

I have been a member since the beginning just lost my first password. I heard of the battery problem through the grapevine and resigning was the fastest way to get the ball rolling. The Registry helped a lot when we first started doing the judging manuals.
