hey Members,

Unsure how many of you have met Salvador (from Spain), but he passed away a few day's ago... He was a TRUE gentleman and a real ZR-1 brother.

I had the pleasure of meeting Salvador 1 1/2 years ago @ corvettes of Carlisle with 2 other Z members from Spain. Such a class guy and true corvette enthusiast.

Salvador will be missed.

Pedro is a dear friend of Salvador and is on the right.

My prayers go out to his wife.

Regards,

David

What a shame, he was a lot of fun at Carlisle. We took many pics together with Dave M. in front of my car. He will be missed. :(

I am sure he is rewarded with a perfect ZR-1 in the sky... no more plenum pull...

Hi guys,

This is the piece of news I wish I had never been forced to write: our brother in the Spanish ZR-1 community left us last Friday all of a sudden, the day before one of our "weekend gatherings" in Barcelona.

I can assure you he was the greatest, most passionate ZR-1 enthusiast you would find across the pond. The list of ZR-1 collectibles and memorabilia he'd gathered all along these the years was simply endless: posters, promo cars, magazines, key rings, pizza boxes, owner's kits, service manuals, stickers, coffee mugs, statues... anything related to the ZR-1 world, name it and Salva knew right away what you were talking about.

He was tremendously excited about flying across to the US again for the 20th anniversary ZR-1 Gathering to be held in BG in 10 days. "Corvette ZR-1 is my sickness" he used to say, god, he was unique, so friendly, talkative and kind person, we're all gonna miss him for a very long time.

Salva my friend, see you at the other side. We'll take care of your wife and you son the best we can, I promise.

Young, with a wife and son.
It again teaches you that you might
as well enjoy life 'cause you never know
what might happen.
It sounds like Salvador enjoyed life,
especially with his ZR-1. R.I.P. Brother
I think a NCM brick would be a great idea-

Brothers in the ZR-1 Net Registry, once again thank you so much for your support and warm words since April 30 and all throughout the 20th Anniversary Gathering, especially for letting our friend Ramon say some words about Salvador at farewell's dinner on Saturday.

Hola Pedro,

I arrived late Friday night to the Gathering and unfortunately did not get the opportunity to talk to you and Ramon. It was, however, very nice to hear Ramon's words about this great ZR-1 brother, Savadore, during the banquet Saturday evening. Thank you both for making the trip to the Gathering from Spain....I know it was hard to have fun when you were thinking about the absent one. Salva's wife and son will be very proud to see the videos you took and to know that Salva was there in spirit.

Saludos, y que tengen un buen viaje a espa?a.

Will
