Yesterday, the long winter project in Pete's skunkworks garage culminated in the fire up of FBI member Kevin's newly built 441 ci LT5.

Pete can fill in the details, but for the gentle reader, it is a closed deck, billet stroker crank, billet custom cams, big valves, and many more goodies, yet it idles relatively smooth for an engine that should put out way north of 650 (NA) hp, once tuned. (Eat your hearts out LS7 and 9s!)

Pete, like a proud father does the honors and turns the key. Fantastic job Pete!!

No telling what the horsepower this monster will be making, but turn up the sound and you can FEEEL this beast's heart beating!! Awesome car! Fabulous work Pete n Bob G and all!

Kevin...We all wish we had your car and you had a feather in your underwear...We'd ALL be tickled!!!

Thanks guys.
Lets not forget this Z has an automatic trans.

If all goes well you will see this Z at BG,needs some tuning and some break in miles.

Congrats Pete, sounds like a beast

Thanks
Hey it's only a lil 441 ci :)
The great part is like Paul said it's still pretty docile for the cams it has.
There is one more 441 w/m6 here locally.
I was hoping to have both 441's at BG with the 427 and my lil wimpy 350ci then we would have a row of 10 second cars :-D

The FBI certainly describes you guys. Man what a stable of ultra-ZR dash 1's!!

You know, a few years back, the ultra ZR-1 was the 415. with about 550 RWHP. Now, it's 441's, 650 RWHP, new TT and a supercharged LT5 prowling about, with more to come. The ZR-1 knows how to play King of the Hill!!

Wow! Congratulations to you all.

Pete,
Fantastic job! The car sounds great. I was waiting to hear a single mass flywheel rattle, but didn't. After rereading the posts, I noticed the automatic tranny listed. Which tranny, 4L80? What's the stall speed and how much gear in the car? That thing should be unreal!!!! Congrats on a job well done. I don't know much about the build, but I'll look you up at BG for "the rest of the story".

We had the 4L80E but he likes the gear ratios of the 4L65E that's what's in it now we'll see how it goes.

It has 3.91 rear gears.

Precision Industries Vigilante 2600-2800 stall with 3 disc lock up.

Car has run 10.80's @ 130 in circles when it was 421ci w/smaller cams.
We hope these new cams work out.
Remember it's an automatic it will have less MPH then a manual.
