Hard start

car cranks for about 5 seconds before it hits. Not so sure my issue with the idle is isolated to the vaccuum leak now.

I have ordered all the parts to do the plenum pull, coils, etc. Now I am thinking that the injectors might be a mandatory thing to address.

Thoughts?

Cranking for 5 seconds isn't uncommon. LT5s take a little longer to start.

It has to do with the crank sensor and the rotation of the crankshaft telling the ECM and such where everthing is before it will fire off.

Not to worry about the time 5 seconds isnt something to worry about just takes a while.

Just to add: You want to hold the starter ON for a second after the LT5 has fired and is for sure running: let 'er hit on a few cylinders before releasing the key. Otherwise, they will sometimes backfire. When they do that, often one or more vacuum hoses (some under the plenum too) can be dislodged. E.g, the tube to the MAP sensor (for one).
