Which short shifter do you recommend, and where is the best place to get it? The broom handle on this thing is driving me insane :D

Personally I like Hurst... They are on Ebay for about $150.
Many Use Bill B's shifter too

I kinda like bills as it looks like the hurst retains the stock height, or am I incorrect? Thanks for the response

I've used both and I like the Bill B. shifter. But for the money, the Hurst works great. Throws are about the same, but Bill's retains the reverse lockout, Hurst is crash through, no lockout.
Bill B. - $260 plus you have to send him your shifter to modify
Hurst - $169 (pricing outdated) on the Registry website, Merchandise For Sale , no shipping charges. Or email CRinehart@gatech.edu

I had Bill's and took it out and replaced with a Hurst. To me, the Hurst shifted smoother. Just my opinion...

I have Hurst. I like the way it shifts and the shortened stick.

Thanks.
I ordered a hurst, and will send my stocker to bill for him to modify.
I will keep the one I like, and sell the other one after I have had time to compare them

I ordered Bill's. Just installed it last week and I'm very satisfied with it. It looks much nicer in the vehicle too!

I did mine so long ago I don't remember whose it was. Maybe Kurt White.
Anyway, I chose one that not only preserves the stock height but keeps the reverse lockout too. If interested I can look up more info.
The installation does require grinding off a small bit metal from the casting.

I've got 3 take out stock shifters,
always used the hurst, but I'm betting bill's modified stocker works great
if anyone has a hurst and needs a stock shifter, I've got them.
