hey everyone -

i have a quick question here (see title)

it seems as though each year - in the march / april time frame - over the past few years, my check engine light comes on..

using the scanner, it is always code P0151 - which is a faulty right front 02 sensor..

i'll replace the sensor, and then in a year, it will go bad again.. wash, rinse, and repeat...

what would cause this part to fail so early?

they are recommended to be replaced, what? every 30K miles or so? i am not driving that far each year...

:dontknow:

Are you losing coolant? The silicates in the coolant, if escaping into the exhaust, could be contaminating the sensor.

A bad or failing cat can cause the 02 sensor to fail
