We had a private track day for some of the Colorado guys up here in Denver yesterday and finally got some time to take the Zr1 for a few blasts down the track.:dancing

Keep in mind that Bandimere is over a mile high in elevation so n/a track times in most cars are close to a second off from what sea level et's would be......lots of personal experience with that...lol!!!

First pass I went a 12.0 and I was very happy with that since that would be a low 11 at lower elevation, but I wanted to try and bust into the elevens and the very next pass I popped an 11.7@115mph...

My buddy only got my first pass on tape, but I'll scan my time slips. I really think there is an 11.60 or maybe an 11.50 in her yet......we'll see!

Cool . Pretty damn good considering the air their sucks....'ALL' the time!Yes sir.....it's hard for a n/a car to catch a break up here in Denver. My old 1990 zr1(350 w/ ported top end/heads) ran a best at 12.9 here and I took her to B.G. and popped a 12.0 my very first pass.......I couldn't believe the difference in the way the car excelerated with that nice lower elevation air....WOW.

Great times Ry!!

Whenever we go to CO, it feels like about 4 cylinders are dead. I took a boat to Twin Lakes one time & took forever to get it up on plane. Huge difference in performance at your altitude.

New ET streets helped, but I think hurt my mph a little. I left at about 4000 rpm and shift at 7000rpm on a factory clutch disc and Fidenza fly wheel that worked great!!

I had twenty psi in the Et streets and wad gonna drop them down to maybe 17 or 18 psi, but it was to damn cold that day.......the burn out box was icing up because the winds were so high...errr!!! I think there's an easy 1.6x if I get the tires a little warmer.

You takin your Vette to scsn in Vegas this year?

Cool! PSCA Hotstreet should be good this year!:dancingWe'll see....Hopefully more cars show for Hotstreet than usual. I'm no threat to win but I'll stick my toe in & mix it up . I can't run with the guys running Comp.Elim. cars with license plates, Q-16 or C-25 with Sheet alum. intakes, heck I'm just running a cast intake with strickly pump gas only....For that matter, to this point, haven't even tried my trans.brake yet either :dontknow:. No matter, I'm just going for fun & a fun I plan on having . Don't get me wrong I want to run good, just my car is not a dedicated, purpose built Hotstreet car, that's all. If I lived closer to that series it'd be worth it maybe.

You should jet it up and run some Q16 just for that event.

Patterson is almost done with my lil 358 cuber and should go just over 900hp with a single carb cast intake on Q16......can't wait to drop that in my Nova!

It does O.K., I'm at 900 (Well...maybe a little more ) with the cast single 4 (4150) on pump gas. I'm just strickly a pump gas guy. Can't run anything but. Of coarse customer stuff is different, they want race gas...whatever, they sign the cheques, LOL. Your deal must be in the low to mid 9K Rpm's I'm assuming? My 358 Comp.Elim. mill I do for a Div. 6 guy runs peak power 96-9700 Rpm, goes through the traps 10,200. That deal uses the GM bow-tie splayed valve heads (517's), has to have an O.E. part number, one carb 850 (4150) rules again. Your's should be a killer! Be careful with the Q-16, makes a little power but is very corrosive. I would never run it myself in my own stuff just for that reason...Just sayin' buddy...:hello:
